16 . 11 . 2009 - Cauliflower Cheese
Mr Harry was sitting in the pub down the road on Sunday eating a lovely self service carvery. Only £6 all day sunday (£3.50 in the week). Anyway, he noticed that about a quarter of his plate was the platform to some cauliflower cheese. He didn’t even remember spooning it onto his plate. He must have just included it in the general collection of vegetables without stopping and questionning it
He looked at it and began to wonder what the hell it was all about. He couldn’t work out if it was a mistake, or improvisation at some point, or whether it was the subject of some kind of culinary research regarding vegetables and dairy intergration. Whatever it was, it has become just a part of the vegetable world. Not questionned or queried. What if you’re lactose intolerant? Do you have to remove cauliflower from your sunday dinner?
Mr Harry decided it wasn’t overly important, it was just one of those things in life that we have to endure and enjoy together and made a little wish in his head that they didn’t start to piss about with his roast potatoes
